This Nordstrom has the worst customer service. I live in the Domain so I go in quite frequently. I've NEVER had a "wow" experience as I have at other locations. I'm from California, there's Nordstrom stores everywhere out there so I've been to a variety of locations. This one is by far my least favorite. I dread going in, but I have no choice being that Barton Creek is the next closest store. The employees are always just standing around talking.
I looked at prices of things I kind of knew about, and the prices here are no more than any other department store. They even had a decent sale going on on some items, especially shoes (wife: YESSSS!!!!!).
If I could shop online more I would, but it's nice to actually get out and try stuff on before you purchase.
Wife dragged me to this store. When I went in with her, I was really pleasantly surprised at how nice the interior is.
There is a restaurant upstairs, too. I was not behaving goo enough, I guess, because we didn't get to go in and eat. Oh, well.
Definitely check out Nordstrom at The Domain. They have a great selection of items. The workers are helpful. Also check out the bar/restaurant on the second floor. It has a good selection of drinks and food.
Nordstrom has a wide verity of clothing, shoes and accessories. My wife loves to shop there and her "Stylist" is fantastic. She knows just what my wife would like and is always ready to help. Great service and quality. They tend to go above and beyond with customer service. They really do try to put the customer first. They also have a bar in the second floor and a coffee shop on the first.
Nordstrom is a much-needed addition to the Domain, and this store is bright, beautifully laid out, and easy to shop. The employees of the cafe on the main level are Nordstrom-excellent; ask them to suggest a drink. Service throughout the store is impeccable - as expected from Nordy's. It does not have nearly as much inventory as the Barton Creek location, which means it's missing some essentials, such as plus size clothing. The shoes department is busy enough that you sometimes have to check in and add your name to a list, but that also means you get the attention you want without feeling rushed. Plenty of covered parking. My favorite department is the home section; they feature a ton of up and coming Austin artists' goods.
