Love coming here for international food items. They have a great selection and AMAZING prices. Produce is always fresh and delicious.
Lunch at Papa Donkasu is amazing! The pork cutlet in curry is my favorite. Go early, lunch rush can get crowded but so worth the wait. Delicious!
So like any world market, the offerings vary greatly than anything you could get from say an HEB. We used to go to one in Seattlenthat was much bigger and cleaner. However, after recently moving to Austin it was great to find a place to buy our cold soup from again. Not the cleanest grocery store, but prices are good, selection is wide, and staff was friendly.
Decent place to get asian food products up north. The last time I bought something from the meat counter I thought that the prices were pretty high. The cafe up front is pretty cool and decently priced.
P.S. The quality of the foods here is also very bad; I only came to this place because it was convenient from where I lived.
I found a cigarette butt inside a box of beansprouts that I bought. I went back next morning to get a refund, but when I told the manager of Hana World about the cigarette butt and asked for a refund, he refused to give a refund because he refused that the beansprouts were purchased from Hana World even after I showed the receipt. He doubted that I had put the cigarette butt inside the content so I could rip off from him. He was pissed at me and as he was finally giving my money back, he and the cashier, who's also the manager's wife, followed me as I walked out of the store and constantly yelled profanity at my back, insulting my family and religion. I never provoked them or anything; they simply just got mad because I "came in early in the morning to ruin their business". The manager showed absolutely no respect to the customer. I'm mad at myself for trying to be "the nice one" in an argument where one side doesn't even care to listen. This store treats you like a garbage can and I actually abhor myself for wasting a good chunk of my busy Sunday morning to try to deal with people that treat you with stereotype, disrespect, and negativity. I will never walk into this store ever again.
