They did not make my wedding cake. I found this out when I was at my cake and wine reception and there wasn’t any cake. I had gone in about a month or so before my wedding and paid in full for a two tiered naked cake. I bragged about my cake every day up until my wedding day, when I was walking towards the chapel, I saw that there was no cake. They had noted that it was for noon when I remember explicitly saying you must be there at 10am, not earlier or later since we had a time restrain. They gave me a full refund, claim to have let someone go, and apologized but I was still left without a cake on my wedding. They offered making a smaller cake but it would not have been ready for my small reception on time. The cake wasn’t even made and I think wedding cakes should be a priority. They took that away from me on my wedding day and cannot get that back. Very disappointed on them. I will never shop or support this business again.

My wife noticed the cake missing as she was walking toward the Chapel for her walk down the isle. She I had to tell her after our vows and she said she saw it was missing. The empty cake was great for pictures though (sarcasm intended). There was a photograph of us taken as we both walked up to what would have been a cake, but an empty cake stand sat in its place. Everyone asked what bakery it was and of course the non vegans joked and said "this is why you buy a real cake." We were hoping to show them an excellent vegan cake.

We had our wedding on November 19th. While I have been vegan for 15 years and love to support vegan establishments, Capital City Bakery has been a huge disappointment. My wife and I trusted them to have us a cake for our wedding day. It was a naked pineapple and coconut cake. When I get to Chapel Dulcinae, there is no cake. We called and they said they put the wrong delivery time down at 12 instead of 10 am. Their rectification was to deliver a much smaller cake, but the ceremony and small reception would have been over by then. This makes me wonder, because if the original cake was made to be there at 12, then why would a smaller cake had been delivered by 12? The original should have been completed earlier that day. Most likely they forgot. The time frame does not match their reasoning as to why the original cake wasn't there.

Vegan and Delicious. You won't miss the dairy. Cupcakes, kolaches, cakes, some drink options. Small inside but plenty of space oyt front. Parking lot in the back. Our go to bakery for years.

They did apologize and refund our money. But I keep seeing my wife sad about the cake. We were going to freeze a piece for our 1 year anniversary as this is a tradition for some. Well, that won't happen either. This is honestly something is negligence as a business. Their excuses were that a manager put the wrong time down (but the time frame I mentioned above did not match this claim) and that they were busy making pies for Thanksgiving. Hopefully folks got their thanksgiving pies since it trumpeted our wedding.

Chef Bala was very professional and gave me exactly what I ordered for my special day. I had a two tier fondant cake with lavender sugar flowers. Not only was it beautiful to look upon but also delicious. The chiffon cake interior was light, fluffy, and just sweet enough.

Best cake and cupcakes! All my friends had no clue they were eating vegan cake and cupcakes! The raspberry jam was delicious. We had a variety of cupcakes and my favorite was the wedding cake and the strawberry was a strong second. Only wish they were closer to NB. But definitely worth the drive!!
