The system used for ringing up purchases is terrible. The cashier has to manually input nearly every item. Only clothing can be quickly scanned in by barcode. Everything else has to first be sorted into one of about a hundred categories, then sorted by color of the price sticker, then have the price selected. If something doesn't have a price tag a manager has to come look at it.
They help people get jobs and temporary jobs too. The pay is good and the staff is very friendly
Back in 2012 when I got out of prison for for 3rd DWI it seemed like no one would hire me cause I had a felony. Goodwill Staffing hired me. After proving that I am a hard worker, dependable, reliable, professional and trustworthy they kept me busy. I continued to work for them another 4 yrs. A couple yrs were Blockbuster for me. They kept me busy Solid. I have since moved on and because of G.S. I now have a Wonderful job. With Hard Work and Determination....You too can be a success story.
I worked at this location for a short time as a cashier. It's a generally fine shopping experience until you go to check out.
I too have had problems with a fellow there named Sergio. Very difficult to get any kind of response from him. Had to go around him and contact others for work. Sergio tried to send me to an assignment involving heavy physical labor, even though I am partially disabled.
Depending on the customer, purchases can take up to 10 minutes to ring up. It's a slow process that is unfair to the customer and migraine inducing to the employee. Don't shop if you are in a hurry!
My last assignment with them had no procedure on my getting paid for the work, I called and called on the Friday of my first week at the client's site , no one responded. Then I was told to go home because I was interested in getting paid for my work! I have complained to the management and nothing has been done. I have been out there 2 previous times for a job over the years, filled out the paper work, interviewed, etc. Then was told of a job that had nothing to do with what I came there for. Real liars.
Staff here are great. You get treated as an individual based on your employment and career needs
