The BBB said they don't respond to their complaints either. Like I said, hacks.
Stay away from this undependable company. I had a similar bad experience similar to Jaye P. Klock's head honcho Jesse, and also Zack, installed a hot tub cable for me that didn't come anywhere near meeting code. When Austin Energy came out to address an electrical problem I got a violation and fine.
Since moving to Texas in 2009, I have used Klock Electric for a variety of projects. I have had many canned lights, timers and dimmers, a porch light, driveway lights, bathroom lighting and even 4 complicated ceiling fans installed. The work is always impeccable, the customer service is prompt and courteous and the electricians are knowledgeable and well trained. My only concern is that I am running out of projects for them!
I am so please with my service from Klock Electric. The crew that came out to install my new ceiling fan, entry chandelier and two dining room pendant lights was wonderful!They took their time to make sure everything was exactly to my liking, as well as stayed overtime to complete extra work needed for my pendant lights. Very polite, knowledgeable, were careful maneuvering their equipment throughout my home. I will be using them again for my master bathroom remodel.
I wrote a letter to Klock asking for a partial refund and received no response. When I called, Zack answered. He basically said "Oh, no!" but otherwise couldn't have given a flip otherwise. They never followed up with me or otherwise showed any interest whatsoever in resolving their hack.
Honestly, I'd like to give no stars. When I purchased my home in 2013, I had to update the service amperage, and change out breaker boxes. While I was at it, I went ahead and paid to have the box labeled and a few miscellaneous things taken care of. The experience itself was lackluster. The electrician sent to my home, Josh, presented himself as indifferent to the job at hand. The job lasted twice as long as quoted, and at the end of the day, I didn't get everything I paid for. I was so frustrated, I just dealt with it at the time. You may be asking yourself why I would wait until now to write a review. Well, in the last three years I've found mulitple outlets that are no longer connected to the breaker box, and are thus useless. To top it off, the labeling job cost me $400. 1 in 5 things in the box is labeled correctly. There are plenty of electricians in Austin. Do yourself a favor and hire any one of them but Klock.
