I've been a client of Central Athlete for over 6 years. My son, Jesse, is the founder and owner. Jesse embodies three critical qualities that I always look for when I'm seeking professional guidance ..... focus, curiosity and passion. Since graduating from TCU in 2009, Jesse has been laser-focused on health and fitness -- passionate about helping individuals become physically fit and happier. He realizes "one size" doesn't fit all and works with each individual to tailor a regimen to his individual goals. Jesse takes a holistic approach that includes fitness, diet, stress, sleep, and consistency. We all need a coach to get to the next level. Working with Jesse has been transformative.

Central Athlete is unique in many ways. Unlike other fitness programs—which are designed for the masses and provide minimum backend support—Central Athlete is individualized for each unique person and provides both on-site and remote coaching. They are organized around supporting their clients despite hectic travel schedules, equipment, injuries and time limitations. This means long-term progress: more results in a shorter amount of time, with less work to achieve your objectives.

I first went to Central Athlete before a trip to Hawaii to improve body composition and simply to get into the routine of working out again. I worked directly with Jesse and we started out with a consultation to address my goals, my program, and any existing or past injuries I had. After the consultation, Jesse put me on a body scan, which gave a detailed analysis of my body comp- my weight, body fat, proportion of fat to muscle, and balance of mass amongst my whole body to determine my symmetry. With the info in place, we started my program- 3 times a week for 1 hour per session. I even received nutritional guidance and began logging my food. Having a coach like Jesse reviewing your meals makes you want to eat clean. After a challenging 3 weeks, we tested and re-scanned to see what progress had been made. To my surprise, I had lost 5 pounds of fat, gained 2.5 pounds of muscle and dropped 4% body fat in only 3 weeks. Needless to stay I felt great and my goals were far exceeded. Now I'm 6 months in training with Jesse and I'm continuing to improve. Yes, Jesse's my brother and I'll always support what he does, but I hope that doesn't compromise this review. I have test results to prove this program's legitimacy. So, if you're seriously looking to find a program that'll give you results, Central Athlete is the place to go. Just be ready to work as hard as your coach works for you.

GREAT EXPERIENCE! I worked with Amanda late last year before my February 2017 wedding. I was already active and nutritionally conscious when she started coaching me but I had mostly plateaued. I wanted to get a bit leaner and stronger so that I could continue progressing in my favorite sport — rock climbing — and would look my best at my February wedding. She helped me make the incremental changes I needed to continue improving rapidly. I progressed from three to thirteen strict pull-ups and, in four months, dropped two percentage points in body fat, landing me in the "athlete" range of body fat, which made me feel pretty cool :) My friends even started noticing and complimenting my abs! Most importantly, Amanda was so conscious of honoring my passions and unique goals: I was able to keep rock climbing and doing yoga as much as I wanted (vs. having to give this up for days doing snatches and deadlifts in the gym). She helped me build the extra stuff, like a little leg work and more protein, around my activities of preference so they fit into my life seamlessly and sustainably! There is no other place I would trust to respect my individual fitness needs and goals while also being so thorough and scientifically minded that they are still able to be really effective (and prevent injury so I can keep climbing forever!!)! I will work with them again and again throughout my life :) Also she is knowledgeable about really cool woman stuff like naturally balancing hormones!

Just completed my first official year with Central Athlete and looking forward to many more. Everyday, my coach and I set out to tackle a new challenge within my fitness journey. Being a former athlete, that's what I live for. The coaches at Central Athlete's holistic approach to health, wellness and fitness are second to none that I've ever experienced before. It's an honor to be a part of this community!
