Amazing work out, very good staff but getting crowded.
I work out regularly at home,so I felt the challenge.Dispite not liking there tone I signed up for class. But I did sense an "Austin attitude".After reading your review I will save 28 dollars and head back to Fort Walton Beach one hour earlier.....Thamks again,
So today - i had my class scheduled for 3pm. I had to change because work wouldn't let me get away so early. I'm a freelancer and sometimes my schedule gets shifted because I have to address my clients needs. So i called OTF and changed to 415pm. I was told there was a wait list and i was number 7. But i shouldn't worry. I'll most likely get in. Even though I expressed some concern, I was told not to worry. Should be fine. I asked "do i get a text? Anything?" nope - don't worry.
Here's the deal people - you sign up for a bunch of different classes you won't take and then you call them and cancel the one you won't make it to. There's no system in place to let you know if you are going to get a spot in the class or not. They'd rather overbook the class and let YOU take the chance of not getting in than take the risk of having a few open machines/spots on the floor. Doesn't that sound kind of like overbooking a flight?
350pm - leave house, get to OTF, class has already started although my phone doesn't quite say 415pm. I head on in. Jump into the class. Take 5 strokes on the rower and then am told that i need to get up as someone is before me on the wait list and just arrived.
Yelping about my experience feels better than actually going to this place.
I just quit. I've been an orangetheory member since june 2016. I never had problems at the Lakeway location so maybe it's this location. I dunno.
Thanks Leah for your review.Im visiting from Florida and by chance (coffee at Starbucks) saw activity. Not familiar I stopped in to see what was going on.When I explained to a couple young Austinites they could not believe I would not have heard of Orangetheory...
It sucks because it's a good workout and I always feel a sense of pride when i get through it. I was loosing weight and getting in good cardio. But I just feel screwed over. They want ME to hedge MY bets on whether or not I get into a class rather than hedging THEIR bets that they might have an empty machine. They wasted a good hour of my day (just the driving back and forth) and now I'm wasting more time telling you about it.
Great workout that's always changing. It's getting more crowded and I get waitlisted a lot but I've never not made the class I wanted.
Never ever had a problem at any other health facility or workout operation like this. Not worth the aggro.
Great workout! Amazing knowledgeable coaches and a hard workout!
