Well I wish I could let you know how my cut and style turned out, but I didn't even get that far. I booked my appointment for a cut last night at 8pm for this morning at 10am. Got to appointment only to somehow find out that my stylist was double booked, even though I was the only one on the schedule. The stylist asked if I'd be willing to wait 30 mins while she cut the hair of the other client, who was clearly a regular of hers. She seemed bothered by the situation and uninterested in accommodating me, even though I was the one on the schedule. I couldn't wait due to other plans I have to leave town today. So I had to cancel the appointment. I got an apology from the front desk, but no offer to make this right. Not a great way to start off a prospective new customer. Before I moved to Austin, I frequented T&G's in Dallas and never had such an experience. Shameful.
Have to go back to be corrected. It was like she didn't listen at all to what I wanted. Not to mention that I left with a $250 bill and the same amount of grow out I went in with!!! Only one staff member was professional and nice. Not impressed.
I now take my two girls(12&14) to have their hair cut here. They've seen both Michelle and Candice. Both ladies were incredibly nice. They gave the girls exactly what they wanted and my girls couldn't have been happier. Again, the cuts lasted. They are easy to maintain and look great even though these gals don't take the time to style their hair!!...aside from the occasional brushing. :)
Love love love love them! Olivia at barton Creek mall was awesome as always. But honestly anyone you pick lower level to the higher level.... they are going to be great. I trust them with my hair any day over any other mediocre salon.
Never go here. This was the most unprofessional circus I've ever witnessed. And I witnessed FOUR HOURS of it. The "colorist" assigned to my daughter screwed up so badly. She asked for specific color highlights (brown) and even showed the lady a picture. They came out blonde! So they put a toner on it to darken it. It came out a brassy reddish color...awful. This process took four and one half hours. They took so long that she got behind and tried to do too many things at once. She asked one of the other girls to blow-dry and she said, "I DON"T BLOW DRY." Seriously?!!!! Another girl came over to dry and left for 15 minutes to translate for some walk-ins that were going to a wedding later! Meanwhile 2 receptionists and one stylist were in the FRONT huddled together, stylist sitting on the counter and all were eating some food they heated up. How nice. I had been there since 11:30 and was getting kind of hungry myself. But my daughter was being held hostage by incompetency.
Will you pay more at this salon? Probably yes. But listen people, your hair is your biggest and main accessory. If your hair cut sucks, it throws your whole look off. When you feel good, you look good and vice versa. Great hair cuts are a major factor to looking and feeling good.
This is a group of very nice and incredibly talented people. It's worth the drive (we live in Liberty Hill) and it's worth the money.
I have been going to Toni and Guy for over 10 years. Christopher has been my stylist from the beginning and he is amazing. I am always getting compliments on my hair even 6-8 weeks into the cut! I have short hair and my cuts last.
