This is a place where kids can roam free and parents just need to sit back and watch. There's 100's of things for them to do! It can get a bit crowded though...and when it did we just moved on to another room to play in. The staff is amazing. We didn't try the food there, but there's plenty of places to eat within minutes of walking. Worth price. Also, if you finish up... There's a beautiful play park right across the street to hangout, have a picnic or whatever. We will definitely be going back!
We love, love the Thinkery. There are quality activities for all ages and the employees are top notch. I just wish it opened earlier. 10 am is so late for young kids/parents who have been up for 4 hours already and have nap time aroubd noon.
We enjoyed taking our toddler to this excellent kids science museum. There are plenty of interactive exhibits and play areas to keep young ones occupied for an hour or more, and there are even more activities suitable for older children.
A related benefit is that there is a great park across the street, and tons of restaurants and cafes at Mueller. The parking garage is close and reasonably priced. The only downside is that it could make for an expensive excursion, as tickets are $12 for adults and children aged two and older.
My family loves the Thinkery. We like it now now that you can pay $13 a month for a membership. It works out a lot better budget wise. It's so big and so many areas to explore. The water area inside and out is great for the hot TX weather. I like that it'll be place can go to for years to come as our little ones grow because there are more areas that they'll be able to explore as they get older. It's also located next to a public park so if it's ever crowded, you can just head to the park for a bit.
Coming into today me and my family were really excited to see what the thinkery was all about. First and foremost the area there with the farmers market going on is exquisite and was the best part of the day. So we get there. Keep in mind my daughter is 15 months old. The exhibits were nice but the kids that were already there as well as the parents were very snobby. Multiple times kids that were much older than her shoving her off of items that were clearly there for everyone to share. Places like that are supposed to be about expression and kids interacting and having fun. Today didn't fit the whole purpose of what I had in mind. I don't want some snobby kid shoving my daughter because she was interested in what they were doing. Or parents openly making nasty expressions towards me and my family. I won't be back. People these days act like they own everything and have no manners
