This is the place where most of Austin has to be getting its Pita bread. I like this location (the original being downtown) most, as it's close to Central Market and other great places on Burnet. If you go to the counter for cheeses, deli meats or pastries say hi to Junior. An awesome guy and with great heart. Truly an awesome family business.

It's a great little grocery store that has unique offerings from mostly the Middle East. Great tea selection, olive & pickle bar, fresh flat breads, deli counter, prepared food counter featuring delicious Greek and Middle Eastern food. They recently built a charming dining room to eat from their take out counter. It's hidden over to the right of the entrance. The dining area is well lit, has tables and counters with stools to eat from. They also had complimentary lemon water and condiments on the tables. It's a lovely store to explore and the shop keeper is one of it's attraction-always helpful with information about any of the unusual products.

This is my favorite place to get a gyro for lunch. The store also has a great selection of international foods. Their bakery is decent withe the standout item being their pita breads. The store is not fancy or pretentious making it a bit of a throwback to times past.

This supermarket/bakery is a great and affordable place to get lunch. In the back of the shop is the deli counter where you can order wraps and sandwiches. I typically get the beef shawarma which takes about ten minutes to make. You can grab a fountain drink or something out of the fridge for refreshments. The cashier is in the front of the shop and the seating area to the right behind the bakery. They have a good variety of baked goods as well and it’s hard to go wrong with the classic baklava or pistachio. Everyone is very friendly and it all tastes great as well.

Their fatayer is yummy.. They make it fresh and they also have halal pepperoni pizza. That's cool.
