One of the best bakeries in all of Austin. Their "grandma's chocolate cake" is especially moist and delicious, but you can't really go wrong with anything here. I'm sure the not sweet things are good, too, but I can't resist their desserts, so I wouldn't know. Tip: you can buy cake by the slice if you'd rather cake than cupcake. I didn't realize that at first.
Came back and tried the custard pineapple bun and to me that's the way to go - creamy custard and soft bun ($1). The browner the tops the more crisp and crackly.
Probably the best bakery in town! I will drive from Cedar Park just to come here on special Saturday mornings. They also have just the best carrot cake I have had in town, even better than any restaurant. If it wasn't so far away from me I would go every week. Make sure to get there early and try their quiche, the ham and spinach is my favorite.
The eclairs are spectacular!!! Best I've had since I was living in Chicago over 30 years ago amongst the elite bakeries!! If you want the best, no need to look any further!
The Gateau Marisa is my favorite cake here. Overall a solid bakery with a good selection of options. If you are looking for something specific, I highly recommend calling the day ahead to reserve a cake, etc. to make sure you get what you're looking for!
