I give one star review because one of the waiter is very rude (old man seems called Michael). He misplaced my order and charged me more and tried to force me to sign the bill without even saying sorry. I come to this place often, food and environment is terrific. Really don't want this guy to misrepresent this elegant dining place but he did.
Was excited to try Bar Chi with friends for reverse happy hour but left totally disappointed. I ordered yellowtail from the happy hour menu which I pointed to. I was brought what I thought was yellow tail just without the rice. I ate it because I didn't want to complain. Then about 20 mins later a server(food runner) brought out what looked like it was the correct order. I had already eaten the other food and told him that it wasn't mine. Then received my check that was 50$. The fish I ordered was 1.80 per piece and I ordered 3 pieces, so naturally I had the waiter come over who brought the manger. The manager refused to change the price claiming that's what I ordered and said the waiter would have to take it out of his check, which I didn't want! What kind of management does that! The waiter changed my check and I only paid for the fish I had originally ordered, so I thought. I just checked my bank account and I was charged not only for the price I agreed to pay but a separate charge that covered the fish they incorrectly brought out. Terrible experience and I will be calling them and my bank.
Stopped here the first night of our visit to Austin and we really enjoyed the vibe & atmoshpere! The food was amazing as well, I really recommend the jumbo crab & scallop fried rice. I also had the miso soup & gyzo- definitely met my expectations.
Great service, decent sushi
Excellent sushi. Nice ambience inside and outside. I always take there my friends coming to visit for the first time.
Sushi isn't the highest grade but it's good and the price is right.
