Inside is a great relief from the heat, with pool, darts, and television. Outside there is a beer garden with plenty of seating.
Asked a bartender at Jester King where to get a good burger. This was one of the higher recommended ones. Boy was he right. My burger was a perfectly cooked medium rare. Which is something I usually wouldn't do at a bar because more often than not it comes out super rare instead. I remembered this guy said their burgers are great so I went for it and they didn't disappoint. Wings we pretty good too but I only split and order with a friend. I would like to try some of their other sauces or rubs they have when I go back. Decent small draft beer selection for a place I expected nothing of. Apparently I missed half of the bar that has video games and pool tables but I was preoccupied. The Cowboys game came on when I sat down at the only empty space at the bar top so that's what I did the whole time. It's literally on the way home from Jester King back to San Antonio. This is my kind of dive bar, I wish it was in San Antonio.
Nice dive bar. They serve their wine out of a whiskey glass, and the bartenders are generous with their pours. Very nice, laid back vibe. Good juke box.
I was impressed by the benders burger!! That burger was so great!! Along with the fried pickles perfectly fried and seasoned with that nice breading that doesn't crumble off the pickle as you bite. Great selection of beers on tap! Especially to find Guinness on tap anywhere in Austin is a little difficult. The bartender's are really nice and always on top of your drinks at the bar.
I love this place! It reminds me of Cheers! Great selection of beers and any other type of beverage you like. The bartenders are fast and helpful, especially Lloyd! I also thoroughly enjoy the back game room with darts, pool tables that are in good condition and fooze ball tables that I love to play, (not too many places have good quality fooze ball tables anymore). They serve good fast food as well so you can fill up before you leave. Fun, great place you need to try while you are in Austin!
