I noticed several employees behind tables/counters/laptops that seemed more interested in their cell phone than a customer shopping. I walked around in the store for almost 8 minutes before I was asked if I needed help finding anything. And once I finally found something that I was interested in, the item wasn't even in stock.
Take all my money. Such a great place to shop for your home. Doesn't hurt that the staff is also knowledgeable and kind.
I wish I had a gazillion dollars to spend here... Seriously though, all of the products are top notch and good for the environment. Prices are nominally more than the big box home improvement stores, so I'm willing to shop here first!
I like their products but am so disappointed with their service. Because of their mistakes -that they never apologized for, I ended up having to spend double to get floor tile.
cool store, but expensive. I bought some discounted haiku fans under a verbal agreement that I would also get the lights. When I came in to pick them up I was told "sorry". I bought them anyway but I certainly did not appreciate the attitude and overall transaction.
I ordered tile at Tree House on a Friday, the sales person checked with the manufacturer on lead time and they said it was 2 days, they said they had it in stock. She was new so she didn't input my order until Saturday, so I had to come back to pay. I was told then I would be able to pick it up on Wednesday. I called on Wednesday to check and they said it was not there yet and to call back. I called Thursday and they told me my tile was not coming until next week. I had already arranged the installation with my contractor and he had already demo'd the bathroom, on top of that I was already paying him for his time. I told them on the phone that was not acceptable and they said the tile department would call me back, 4 hours later nobody did so I went to the store. Oh yeah, it shows your tile won't get here until next week. When I explained my situation all they said was what do you want me to do? They don't have it so they can't send it. Too bad! Not even sorry about this. I asked for a refund and they did but the whole situation was handled so poorly, when were they going to tell me about this? They said the tile person went out of town and that's probably why I didn't hear from them. I had to scramble at the last minute to find some similar tile so I could have a bathroom and not pay my contractor just to sit there. Of course it was more expensive. I wish I had not ordered from them, they totally screwed my renovation budget / schedul / plans.
