I'm a casual biker so I went there to have a Walmart Schwinn built to take around the trails downtown. From the short conversations I had with 2 guys there you can tell their passion for bikes. Reasonable price and excellent service.
Brought my folding Montague bike in on the weekend to address a flat on the rear. This bike presented a bit of challenge because of the rim, clearance on the back frame and the older tire we were trying to keep. After lots elbow grease the guys were able to get me riding again with a new tube an tire. Fair prices, good work, and personable people. I'll be back again next time I need some work done.
Great little shop with friendly employee's who care a lot about your ride. Have always brought my bikes in for routine service I don't feel like doing, and they turn things around super quick and do a way better job than I could do myself (I'm looking at you barrel adjustments...). For bigger projects, they'll go above and beyond to make sure you're happy with what you're getting and make sure you're set up to shred.
Small bike shop that's good for minor repairs when you're not in a hurry. Service is a fair price. Wait time can be several days. Handicap accessible with a dedicated parking spot on the street.
Great shop, great people, great experience. I visited 10 days ago, based on positive reviews and the fact that it was a small, local shop. I had done my research as a "newbie" and had picked out a decent entry level bike from Fuji- these guys did more than simply validate my choice- they compared it to other bikes and ultimately agreed that it was a lot of bike for the money. We reviewed various necessary add-ons and gear- and I left with a loaner bike to get my "legs" while awaiting the new bike I ordered. It arrived on time, was assembled and ready to roll when I got to the shop. We spent a fair amount of time going over it, adding a few bits here and there (lighting, mirror, bottle holder), making adjustments and getting me more familiar with the bike. Eddie, the mechanic, is front and center and the real deal. The customers coming in--many for repairs, tune-ups or accessories--seemed to know the shop and the staff. I'm very pleased to have found a neighborhood shop that has know-how and doesn't make you feel like just another customer. Highly recommended.
