Amazing mexican food! We live about 5 hrs away. We stopped here because my husband wanted some mexican food, and we are so glad we did. The salsa was good, the queso was good & the food was amazing! The service was great! We will defiantly be coming back to Austin for Angie's in the future!
Great small family run restuarant with delicious traditional tex mex options. Also make some strong cheap margaritas.
We stopped in here for a quick dinner before a concert. The food was good, the salsa was nice and spicy, and the server was prompt. The only reason I could not give five stars was because there was salt on my beer mug (and thus in my beer). :-(

Highly recommend, and remember everything there is made from scratch. Not bottle or boxed. Keep that in mind when sampling their tasty food selection.
It is an AUTHENTIC Mexican restaurant. For those complaining I would say, UNDERSTAND there is a difference between this and TEX MEX. You want TEX MEX go to Taco Cabana . This is a place I have gone to for 20 years, in that time, the food quality is always consistent. THe service is always consistent even during peak hours. I left Texas for 2 years and could not wait to come back. Angies was my first food stop. Amazing that anyone could find it lacking. But then some simply do not have the eye for true home quality in a restaurant. It is not the Ritz Carlton, it is a small business that is blooming beautifully under the sun of Austins booming population growth.
