The mexican food was good, the atmosphere was excellent. The 5 stars I am giving to the flan (dessert). I've had flan from California across the southwest, and yes southeast, I've event tried a couple while in Spain, but Abuelo's flan is absolutely magical. The only con is to order dinner and dessert early enough because they will run out. I feel I am not making it easier on myself posting about how extraordinary the flan is, but when you find something this fascinating, it's only right to share it with the world.
Food was great! Margaritas were great! Serive was awesome! Beautiful patio. Well definatly be back
I have been going to Abuelos for 15+ years and have never been disappointed..... Until yesterday. I went with my parents and a few friends for my birthday and I'm so sad that I didn't have a great experience for the first time ever. I ordered the chimichunga and man was that a bad decision. It was wrapped in some kind of pepper and then fried so it was more loke a relleno. I know that it's that bad but, no where on the menu does it say its wrapped in a pepper and I think it should because it was literally the spiciest thing I have ever eaten. I was only ONE bite in and my tongue was numb. I thought maybe it was just that one so I tried the other end and it was even worse! I told the waitress it was way too spicy to eat and I had only had 2 bites of it and all she said was "oh I'm sorry, do you want a box or something to take it with you?" Um no... I just said I can't eat it. Why would I want to take it with me? Point of the story is... You should really think about adding a few more details to the dish description so someone will know what to expect when ordering it. That way, they will avoid not being able to eat their food and have an enjoyable experience.
We had bad service are company came to celebrate thanksgiving dinner they gave us the reservation at 7:00 the nxt thing we know we don't have time to order are food the manger din't look as a professional manger. He looks there unprofessinoal. I don't recomoned to come to this place at all !!!
