A bar in Austin with a bartender named Austin who just happens to be a cool dude. Sports, Every game basically. Monday night open mic is one of a kind, hosted by Chris Kingsley who's got a really good mind for songwriting, and always featuring other ceaselessly entertaining acts. Wednesday night open mics are always packed, be sure and get your name on the list an hour and a half before it starts if you wanna go up. But even if you don't make it on stage, the amount of blues talent there always makes it worth it even just to watch. Probably the best cover Whippin' Post by Greg Allman you'll ever see at an open mic. And 3 dollar Zeigenbocks in tap!!!! The only way you could get more wasted off of 20 dollars is if you bought a 30 pack of watery beer and drank it alone at your house, but for the same price you can get almost as wasted around people and good music off of quality beer!!!!
Any bar that offers open mic during the week is gonna get my attention. Great sound system, great people, great musicians. I'll definitely be back.
