Had a great time here. Staff was super friendly and food was incredible. The Baby Squid was great (comes in a can and can’t remember it’s name), black rice was delicious, and the wine selection is really good. Great place to sit down and eat company.
A great place! Happy Hr. til 7pm & all night on Mon. Food & sevice are fabulous along with a great atmosphere! Comes very close to Tapas Bars in Barcelona. I will always come back here!!
From the time I walked in to the time I left I felt like I was a bother. I came in so excited because I love Tapas places but from start to finish it was just a disaster. The wait staff didn't know anything about the food or drinks. the quail was overcooked you can tell it was frozen just like everything else. Please don't bother save your money and if you don't decide to listen to me I'm sorry and I hope you don't get sick. Go to a place that's passion about the food that they cook and serve like the Box table and the odd duck.
Went for brunch and I have to say the food was excellent at a fair price. I had the flank steak which came with a fried egg and thin cut fries. The food came with chimichurri, some sort of herb butter, and a salsa. Great flavor combinations and after the steak and egg was done I was able to take my fork to the leftover fries, sauces, and the egg yolk and it was amazing. Strong recommend for brunch.
Dined at Barlata's last night because I had a craving for paella. I read online that they have the best in Austin. If this is the best Austin has to offer I'll have to drive over to Dallas. It was very mediocre and while I didn't expect it to taste like the paella I've had in Spain it was surely disappointing. It was just incredibly fishy and you could taste sand. The quail was good, the peppers were just okay. I told the staff the food was just OK... but I guess that's a high mark for them because they were excited it was OK. Do yourself a favor and find another place to eat. It honestly isn't worth the money.
