Friendly staff, interesting digs (a bit modern rustic, if that's a thing), nice drink selection, and generous outdoor seating.
This bar is a hidden gem on Rainey (technically on Davis). I've walked by it several times without ever realizing that I hadn't been in. Expect to find a good atmosphere with knowledgeable friendly bartenders who know how to make a quality cocktail (current favorite for cocktails on Rainey). I visited in the mid-afternoon and there was a DJ spinning 45s providing great atmospherics for conversation.
Instead:
"10 minutes early? Wow. Why?"
"...(no response)"
The dude didn't even have the courtesy to give me a fake excuse about a slow night. He stopped acknowledging me entirely.
Fun atmosphere and usually good music and food.
Don't go here. They clearly don't care. Your money is better spent at Black Heart. I will not be back.

Terrible experience. Walked in at 1:50 (bars close at 2 in Austin) hoping to order two modelos, tip well, and close out.
Awesome bar, great staff, and an excellent selection of liquor. The area is much better than 6th, I highly recommend the Rainey experience to anyone looking to get away from the 6th street crowds.
