Brunch food on Sunday was great! Frozen margarita was yum! Make sure you sit outside and ask the waiter for a water gun so you can defend your table from the birds. Was really a great laugh and we had nice time catching up with friends. The birds were not bad - just a fun thing they offer to keep the courageous ones away :)

El Arroyo's food has been dumpster quality for the two decades I've lived in Austin. Some of the worst Tex Mex in a city that claims to be the taco capitol of Texas.

An Austin institution. Not as crowded as some other faves but wonderful and full of old Austin charm nonetheless. Tacos are great as are the margaritas. Parking isn't the best but you can't have everything. Worth a visit or two or three..

My sister and I had lunch at the 5th Street location in Austin, Texas yesterday and used the Ladies Restroom, which was a horrible experience. The lighting is terrible and the toilets are old and took several flushes for things to go their way. So, can only imagine what the Men's Restroom looks like since a Ladies Restroom is usually better than the Men's. The 3-4 light fixtures need to be replaced with 2 fluorescent tube fixtures so you can see in the stalls and replace the toilets so they conserve water and flush well. Plus, the hot water faucet at the sinks did not work, which needs to be fixed as well. So sorry for the employees that have to deal with this on a daily basis (you should be taking care of them better!). Hope to see improvements soon and a review of your other locations would be well served.

Put the signs down and put your effort into your food. You're not funny when you are insulting Texans.

Love this place. No issue walking in and grabbing a table. Nice patio ambiance. No trouble finding a table. The food is consistently good. Excellent ceviche. I definitely recommend the Cancun avocado!

Hurricane Harvey hits, Texans are dying on rooftops in Houston, an El Arroyo makes jokes about disaster relief. Unacceptable. Anti-Texan.
