Good food, attentive wait staff. But I think this place shows up as $$ in search, and should really be $$$ (or even $$$$?). For a group of 4 with 1 entree per person and 2 apps split between all of us (no drinks or desert) - it was almost $50 a person with tip. Good experience, just kinda pricey.
After a super rough week this was a much needed reprieve. Excellent food and service. I really enjoyed the creative combination of flavors in all of their courses; they were unique and very delicious. We will definitely be back!
Amazing food the salmon is not enough food for u if u order it it gets really loud later in the night so come earlier. Actually don't come earlier I like the quiet. The people are friendly and a nice community. My favorite part is no ice in the water because I'm not constantly eating ice and it's not burning my lips it's pretty dope. GO THERE! later in the night tho.
Great service, even if it was just a little snobby. The food is good but not great. Everything is farm-to-table. I would go back if the menu would entice me enough since it constantly is changing. The dining room is quite small, as well, but it was not busy or cramped the night I was there. A reservation may be recommended just in case that becomes an issue.
Tuesday is dollar oyster day. We were looking forward to beer and oysters. After our oysters were delivered we learned that a health alert was issued for Galveston Bay oysters. In fact half the bay is closed due to the levels of feces. The oysters being served were from Galveston Bay. We brought this to our server's attention who in turn informed the chef. The chef said he was not worried, their distributor is very reputable. Unfortunately we were not comfortable. The restaurant made no effort to offer us anything else. The wait staff continually hovered around our table while we finished our beers. We paid for our $7 canned beers and 16 uneaten oysters. It was difficult to believe that such a well known venue would not take precaution after being alerted that there may be a serious situation. Hopefully no one will become ill.
