The atmosphere and decor are really nice. A bartender overcharged my card not long ago, so paying in cash might be prudent.
I may not be able to afford a night's stay at the contemporary luxury W Hotel but I can most definitely afford Happy Hour. The atmosphere is quite therapeutic after a long grueling day at the office. Try a margarita for $7 and pair it with 2 chili braised pork tacos for $4.
What a fantastic space! Part Clue/Part European nightclub! The floor to ceiling vinyl collection is incredible and the Secret Bar has a fantastic aesthetic!

The staff is absolutely marvelous (you will never open a door for yourself in this hotel!) and the cocktails are what cocktail dreams are made of! They do run the $9-15 range, but with their late happy hour, it takes away the bite...and unlike a lot of the bars downtown, these cocktails are well made and can demand the pricepoint because you can taste the quality ingredients and alcohol. My favorite off the menu was the Elderflower Daiquiri.
They also have an excellent bourbon/scotch selection with the Buffalo Trace Experimental being a rare and exciting find!
Can be very busy but nice scene
If you enjoy people and fancy car watching, then the W is the place! I had such a great experience here and I will definitely be back to take advantage of the happy hour again!
