Went for sushi bar. Place was pretty empty on a Thursday at prime time. Friendly relatively attentive staff, again place was pretty empty. Very cool atmosphere that would probably be good for a date. A bit on the pricey side considering the quality of the fish. Sushi rice is lacking in finesse and flavor. Not sure what soy sauce they use, but I liked it. Wasabi and ginger are same cheap fare you'd find anywhere. The yellowtail, tuna, and salmon were all just ok-- I've had much much better in Austin. A bit fishy and could have been fresher for sure. However--The tempura shrimp hand roll and the nigiri escolar that's topped with toasted garlic is light-years better than anything else we tried and worth coming back for.

My favorite sushi place in south Austin. Love the atmosphere and the food is amazing. Do yourself a favor and get the baked avocado... every time.
Always a friendly and delicious experience. Friendly staff, and amazing happy hour specials. The food is consistent, even at happy hours. Big ups to Randy, that guy is the reason we visit every week
