I never had much Balkan food, even living in Chicago prior to Texas. Balkan Cafe and Grill, though, this place is magnificent. You can tell the food is homemade and made with love. Their bread is so addicting! Everything is fresh and authentic. I highly recommend it for something different, I would rate it way more stars if I could. Will definitely be back!
Went there for lunch with my husband and the food was delicious! I took the owner, Z’s, off the menu recommendation and absolutely loved it. Great environment and even better food!
Exceptional service, friendly atmosphere, and mouthwatering regional delicacies make this a must on any foodies' list. Not for the faint of heart, the house specialties include lots of lamb and veal. While you might be tempted to skip the imported beverages, don't! The fruit brandies warm you to the core, and the coffee is strong!
Usually decent place to eat at. I got their special of the day (beef soup with veggies) and there was almost nothing in it. It had like a pint of broth and a couple chunks of meat. The bread was nice, but this is not a soup. This is beef broth. Weird.
Very good stew. Best that I have had in a long time. Comfortable little place. I was impressed by the sausage as well
