I am by no means a vegan but the food here is incredible. I ordered a salad and the portions are huge and the prices are great! I heard it’s hard to get a seat sometimes but we had no trouble on Friday at 1pm. Highly recommend!
I am amazed at the combination of foods and flavors on the menu. I am not vegan or vegetarian. I like food that provides nourishment while tasting good. From the Sweet Potato tamales, to the house made tofu bacon, the cafe offers a selection of interesting palette pleasing profiles to satisfy even the pickiest of people. There are several plates I want to try. So, I will definitely be back. As for dessert, the Jackie Special is amazing. On my next visit, I will try the Blueberry-Lavender Vegan Pie. Parking is horrible, so plan ahead.
I try to bring friends here at least once a month so I can order the vegetarian eggs benedict. This place is pretty popular. Normally busy, so be ready to wait. But It's worth it and you can always order a fancy frothy mocha thingy at the coffee bar while you wait for one of those few precious outdoor tables. This is best vegetarian breakfast cafe in the city, just get there early.
We had a delicious breakfast and Bouldin Creek Cafe!! I had the Sweet Potato Tamale Breakfast and would order it again and again!! We’re so happy to have found this incredible spot during our short stay in Austin!! When we return to Austin we we definitely return here for a sure thing good meal. Thanks to everyone at Bouldin Creek for giving us such a great experience!!
They veganize everything! Every visit an order of the blueberry vegan cornbread and lavender mocha is a must! The only downside is parking, but that just proves they're so good - people are always here, however you wouldn't tell they were busy with how fast service is. They also have a patio area with dog bowls, water and treats available with tarps and heating or fans depending on the weather so you can always bring your fur baby! They also have seasonal menus and the service staff is great to talk to to recommend the menu. Thanks, Bouldin! See you guys next week!
