Really small place, but in a way it's what gives it its identity. Food is great, and friendly staff. Recommended!
I love coming to this place for breakfast! Whether it's for steak and eggs or biscuits and gravy or any other thing...its wonderful! I have learned to come slightly early on weekend mornings as it does tend to crowd up later on in the day.
The food is good... but who can afford to spend $20 on breakfast? The atmosphere is just okay, a bit claustrophobic. It reminded me of an upscale Waffle House to be honest. Again, my food was good but I didn't leave feeling satisfied.
I've been here a couple times and must say that Counter Cafe offers one of the best hamburgers in Austin! The burger is made very well: huge size, not soggy, doesn't tear apart, and the meat is juicy. Their ingredients are all-natural and organic. To drink: I recommend trying the fresh squeezed lemonade. It's very sweet. Walking into the restaurant you'll find it to be a small, trendy, and friendly atmosphere. If you sit at the counter, they cook right in front of you. The staff is nice and outgoing. I definitely recommend coming M-F from 2-4 PM for their happy hour. You get a burger and fries for $10! Very satisfied with my experience and I will continue to come back!
The food is out of this world. Real estate, including parking, is a hot commodity, but well worth the trouble. The food is so so so so amazing. The staff is great and friendly and I usually see one of the owners hanging out being adorable. This has the feel of a tiny diner that people have been coming to get yummy breakfast at forever, and as long as I live in Austin I'll keep coming back. Did I mention the food is mind blowingly tasty?
