Amazing game selection, you don't have to pay per game. The food and coffees are great, haven't tried the beer yet. The area is clean, well lit and you can actually hear your friends talking to you unlike some game taverns. The staff is courteous & the bathrooms are clean. Just a great place to bring friends.
Really enjoy gaming there. Great coffee and mead. Love that we can put a flag on our table as a signal that we are looking for other people to join us (great idea for introverts). Also like that we can bring our own games or borrow some from their library.
This place is great to hang out with friends and try new board games. Food is pretty varied and they have some great beer and drink selections. Staff is also very friendly, knowledgeable and we'll staffed so you don't have to wait long to ask a question or place an order. It can get kinda packed though where it may be difficult to find a table and chairs to play.
WOW! This place is just PERFECT! I stumbled in one morning just hoping for a friendly environment to have a cup of coffee and work on my Dungeons and Dragons campaign. The fellow working that morning was VERY polite, and so helpful. I had a lot of questions as I had never visited a gaming cafe before, but I instantly fell in love. My coffee was perfect, the brownie I bought was perfect. And at the time of morning I was in it was nice and quiet. I was absolutely at ease with my thoughts and I can't wait to go again. Such a great place with SUCH great service.
Great little local shop with a knowledgeable staff. They have beer, wine, mead, and coffee drinks. They also serve sandwiches and baked items. There is a wall at the back of the shop that is full of games that can be played for free. There is a decent amount of seating inside and outside but the one downside of Emerald Tavern is that it is quite popular and not that big of shop so grab your tables fast! They have a lot of games for sale as well as game books and figurines. They also host events all the time so it's a good idea to check their calendar to see what is going on.
