Honestly, I was immediately taken aback at how... low-budget... the property appeared from the outside. And now, as I sit here on a well-used sofa, I cannot decide whether to label my surrounding as "dingy" or "quaint," as there is a sometimes-indistinguishable, but very fine line between the two. I see several very simple things that, if changed, would greatly enhance the professionalism of the little cafe.

Being a healthy eater, I decided to avoid the menu, as typically British breakfast food has never really agreed with me, and opted instead for a pot of their black breakfast tea. As mentioned, my tea affinity is not one to be trifled with and, with the visible issues I had mentioned before, I did not expect much; however, I was pleasantly surprised with a lovely pot of Zhi tea accompanied by milk and sugar. With those being provided, I really cannot complain. Also, the locally sourced tea was a nice touch that I had not hoped for.

I love this place! Funky fresh, homey interior. Always friendly, easy service. Food is delicious. Check hours before you head over. High tea is super fun. Great little gem in South Austin.

I should also mention that my experience was initially only saved by a certain staff member who took the time to talk to me a bit about the place, the options, and the history. Being new to the location, I put on a look of confusion so as to attract someones attention that I needed some assistance (basic stuff for a customer service representative). The first girl was not... inviting or helpful. I was ready to leave. You guys are a small business. Without the help of an inviting physical atmosphere you guys depend ALMOST 100% on the personal interaction made by your staff. If you don't make it a priority to train that into your staff, you will not succeed. Just an observation, geared towards helping you grow your business.

I have had "afternoon tea" @ $100 per person that might have had a more pretentious ambience, but certainly did not do as well on the food. Excellent sandwiches (cucumber, ham, chutney) and a wide enough selection of green g black teas, from single- estate to a "builders cuppa" of PG Tips. There is a kids menu (half price) too. Well worth the modest charge. The breakfast menu looks awesome too. 24 hour advance notice for the afternoon tea is requested.

Cozy, quaint and they have a few gluten free items on the menu. Lots of yummy pastries to choose from and wholesome breakfast choices. My only complaint is the Chai latte isn't tasty so I won't be ordering that anymore but it's still one of my favorite places to hang. Family oriented.

I recently moved to Austin, Texas, and being a bit of a tea snob, I immediately searched out a proper cup of afternoon tea hopefully with a space to get some computer work done. This business promised both so I quickly cleared some time to check things out.

Decent place, nice staff, great prices.

Overall, a good little tea shoppe and a average experience. 3.5 out of 5 taking into account the limitations due to their location. Somewhere I could imagine myself spending some time and even working with.

Honestly, this place has ignited a small fire in me, would love to contribute to its livelihood. Its a lovely little place, but there are very simple things that are being missed: subliminal cues and small things that do not help. Not bad whatsoever. I am very impressed with the place and what they have accomplished here, but their ability to move to the next level is being inhibited by simple fixes. Although the "out back" options for seating is a bit horrific... Definitely needs some work.

Really enjoyed my whole experience here. The food is delicious and fresh. I had the Full Monty, and everything was cooked perfectly. I also enjoyed my little pot of English breakfast tea. The atmosphere is very casual and relaxing, and the service staff are very friendly and accommodating. I would absolutely recommend this cafe for a casual breakfast or brunch with friends, and I intend on going back soon and often.
