My party of four waited over an hour from the time we placed our food order to the time it was actually delivered. It wasn't even busy at the time. The only reason the food was finally delivered was because I found a manager and told them how long we had been there. The food finally came an an hour and a half after it ordered and the manager offered us a 50% off discount on our brunch and none of us had drinks meaning... 50% off of a $12 meal... so $6 back for an hour and a half of my life and 3 of my friends lives...
I was only there for about an hour, for a drink. The drink was good. The space was nice. Lots of room. Happy hour every day from 3-6pm.
Staff are really friendly. For a hostel this place is an 5star. To book people for a business event, this is not the place, unless you have a team of hipster millenials, but that complaint is directed at my boss and not at the native. Great food, good vibe and close to a lot of nice places. Definitely worthwhile if you're travelling through Austin.
The two things to get here, the Trust Fall and the Waffle Fry Nachos w/ the Brisket. You're going to see others ordering a full order and think "That is way too much." and you're going to be wrong. Get the full order or leave sad and depressed that you didn't.
Even when it's packed the staff are fast, efficient, friendly and haven't yet messed up a drink of mine because too much was going on. Super consistent. Food also comes out surprisingly quick when it's packed out as well and is equally consistent.
On Friday/Saturday nights this isn't really my kind of spot, if you prefer your drinking experiences to be quieter head over on a weeknight.
Hidden Gem! We happened in here by chance on the way to our car. This place offers a very upscale experience at an affordable to mid range price. I think my drink was ten bucks and it was really good. The atmosphere was fun, modern, and welcoming. I felt like I was in a big city exclusive lounge rather than a hostel. I haven't stayed in the rooms, but they looked nice online. I highly recommend the drinks it and will be back!
