At 8 am on a Monday morning, I was the only person there, so was attended to immediately. I ordered the “soul sista” which was two pieces of boneless fried chicken breasts, with waffles and maple syrup.

Also, be prepared for an extremely long wait to get your food. The upside is that (assuming you find a seat), you can chill and get a lot done. Also, games.

The fried chicken was by far the best I’ve ever had. I bit into the most tender, succulent, flavorful piece of chicken, accompanied by a fried crust encasing it which was seasoned to savory perfection, with just the right amount of crunch to balance the soft tenderness of the chicken.

Phenomenal place for relaxed Sunday brunch. Awesome decor and vibe. Drinks are a little pricey, but do have good flavor! Only critique (and what stopped me from giving it five stars) is the sweet waffle options are limited. Add in a berry or nut butter option and it will hands down be a five star place!

I’d just gotten done working a 12 hour overnight nursing shift, and needed some comfort food. Fried chicken immediately came to mind, so I set out for a local grocery store, hoping to just grab whatever they had packaged. However, this place caught my eye, and I stopped in- glad I did!

My mouth was watering with each bite, and the blend of textures and flavors made it such a fun, messy eat; I really enjoyed just attacking the chicken like a caveman- it deserved to be relished.

Interesting concept inside. I love the vibe but I'm mixed about the cashier-less self-ordering system. The card readers are TERRIBLE. And there's no human nearby to troubleshoot.

It's a little confusing but The Factory is actually the drink portion of another cafe: Wild Chix &a Waffles, which is also what's on the sign outside. So don't drive around looking for The Factory.

Absolutely spectacular. Perfect for those times when you need a cozy chair/atmosphere to read and relax. Sipped on the most SCRUMPTIOUS match green tea latte that I have ever had while cuddled up in a well cushioned nook of a chair. 10/10 recommend.

First time here- won't be the last. WHERE HAS THIS PLACE BEEN ALL MY LIFE!?!? Hands down, the cutest cafe/ place to dine in Austin. Music is wonderful, decor is mix match but yet it all completely goes together. The menu is simple, the focus is waffles. They make it easy to order if you know what you want and don't want to wait in line, just use the tablet. If you need help, they are there at the registered. Service is fast and very kind. If you ever have visitors from out of state/town that want to eat in a place that captures and embodies Austin's unique, fun, and weird culture and atmosphere, look no further than The Factory. You won't be disappointed.
