Just over six years ago my husband and I started looking at real estate in Austin, Texas. We wanted a nice community in which to live after we retired and knew no one in Austin but I was working with a lady from the Austin area who was totally convinced we would like it here. Not being absolutely persuaded I went to the Internet to browse around at real estate, and as you know I had to enter a name, address and phone number to begin searching. Very soon we received a call from an extremely nice lady, Alexis, who identified herself as an agent from York Realty and that began a relationship with what we have found to be the absolute best (and I do not use that word lightly) professional business relationship we have ever had. Alexis immediately set up a home search in Austin to meet all of our wants and desires. Shortly thereafter we made an unplanned, spontaneous trip to Austin. I called the day before arriving and Alexis cleared her calendar for the next three days devoting her time to us. She gave us a geographical layout of Austin explaining the areas that might be best for us to look at homes for sale based on our age, needs, etc., and then she showed us the homes that we wanted to see along with homes she had scheduled for us that she thought might be to our liking. We fell in love with Austin, York Realty & their complete staff, and made an offer on a home before we left after our three-day stay. The offer on the home was countered, and as fate would have it we had seen another home on the listings we were still receiving. We asked Alexis if she would please look at the home we were interested in from the Internet listing … she knew what we wanted by this time and we trusted her explicitly. (How many of you have that much trust in your real estate agent?!) She walked through the house for us and then called us explaining in detail everything she saw and would do if “she” were buying for herself. We had the home inspected, had the owner make a couple of repairs, then about 30 days later the home was ours. In this particular case, the owners were building a new home so they lived in this home renting it from us until their home was completed. When we did come to Austin, we walked into our new home and a beautiful basket of goodies was on the island with a huge “Welcome Home” sign. How many of you trust your real estate agent and company enough to buy a home without ever seeing it in person??!!! WE DO … WE TRUST YORK REALTY THAT MUCH!!

Sarah did a fantastic job as our Realtor in helping us find a home to lease. A job relocation brought us to the area, so it was very helpful to be able to rely on Sarah to do the legwork using her knowledge of the different neighborhoods to find us our new temporary home.
