The next pleasant surprise was that my order arrived a bit early. The food was hot and fresh and amazing. I had beef Mongolian thanks to the lady's description my husband had beef and broccoli. The flavor was amazing in both, and the Mongolian was truly a bit spicy like it said in the description. The price was a bit high basically 30 dollars for both orders, however the amount of food you get for the price could have probably fed four if you wanted to stretch your money. So it would come out to about 7.5 per person which sounds about right.
I have gluten-intolerance/celiac and they are able to make certain dishes GLUTEN-FREE upon request. (They can even make gluten-free Lomein if you ask! Which is something you can't usually get at restaurants). And yes, they even have gluten-free soy sauce upon request. And if you have other food sensitives, they can often customize dishes to your personal needs or work with you to figure out something that will work.
My boyfriend and I had a wonderful first experience here. My boyfriend eats a lot of Chinese food and this is our new favorite place. We came in a little late, but were still given excellent service. Our waitress was very kind and patient, but also efficient. Our food came out remarkably fast. We got the shrimp with lemon grass, crab and asparagus soup and the duck clay pot. All of the food was delicious. I highly recommend eating here.
Last night I was really unsure of where to order from since I haven't been satisfied in a while with delivery places. Pizza or Chinese and what restaurant. I begin to look at the reviews and decided to give Hao Hao a try. I am so glad I did.
I believe I found my new Chinese place....Thank you Hao Hao for providing such great service.

As a native Austinite this is my FAVORITE Vietnamese/Chinese restaurant and also one of my favorite Austin hangouts! Austin wouldn't be the same without it.
The owners are also very friendly, so it was easy to become friends with them very quickly when we first started going here years ago. ❤️ My family and I have been going here for so long that it feels like home away from home. --Lynn also has an incredible memory, I don't know how she does it, but she always remembers exactly what we like.
The experience from the start was great. The person who took the order while she was handling what sounded to be 3 different phone lines was fast but courteous. She spoke with such a positive attitude and spoke of the food so highly. I asked her what came in the beef Mongolian and her description made me want it. She explained it would take an hour.
