I was visiting restaurant row decided to give it a try for drinks with a friend we noticed both bars where full we sat down at a bar table we waited and waited my friend went to the bathroom no one as far as staff would not analogy we where there no one made eye contact after about 25 minutes someone finely came over to us,she asked if we has already dined in we said no we just wanted drinks she said that the table was spoken for I said what about the table next to it she said it was spoken for she said we could go to bar I said both bars are full she just smiled and said oh go to hosted stand we walked over two couples where standing there that they came in after us they where seated in the tables we had injured about when we got in front of the hostess they looked very confused and did greet us we finely spoke up and said we where wanting cocktails they said we could go to the bar I said again both bars are full most of the patio was empty can we sit there they said no there would be a 25 minute wait there communicate skills where lackadaisical there no one else was waiting to be seated at this point we just walked out did not feel welcomed at all no one seamed to care I used to go when it was called Romeo and the patio was getting cold and no heaters won't be back. Over all bad experience I gave it two stares because it smelled good.
Service was quick--I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area to try other items from the menu.
You cannot review Juliet without mentioning the patio though. It is one of the best in town! Lovely place to sit out on a nice day and enjoy a cocktail and a fresh salad, followed by a delectable pasta dish. One of my favorite places to eat in Austin.
What a truly, wonderful experience I (we) had here! Dan, the GM, Rafael (our waiter) and everyone involved in serving us, were an absolute delight! It was my Birthday celebration (08/12/17) and we had a huge party on the patio. Dan took GREAT care of us and Rafael kept the drinks and food coming. Everything was PERFECT! Food was phenomenal and the service was even better. Thank you, Juliet Italian Kitchen, and, everyone in the background, especially Dan and my husband, for making my Birthday a success!!!
I love Juliet. There is an upscale whimsy to the atmosphere that makes it stylish without being pretentious. The food is consistently delicious, as are the drinks. If you need a wine recommendation they always have good one. Additionally the owners are good stewards of the community and are always willing to help an organization with a good cause. I've been to several charity events at Juliet, and the event planners always have the nicest things to say about planning the event there.
The interior is spacious with plenty of seating outside. The steak and eggs dish was delicious and cooked to perfection--the yolk was runny, and the meat tender and not overcooked (just the way I like). The assorted appetizers were tasty as well; my personal favorite being the gnocchi hash which included italian sausage, bacon, fresno pepper, basil and a fried egg.
I love the design and layout of the restaurant! Great place to hang out. Inside is definitely quieter than the pleasant patio. Food quality is good, but stay away from their espresso drinks. Just saying ;)
