There were maintenance guys walking around the bowling lanes and turning over fixtures, which kind of diminished the experience, and made us feel like we were in an unfinished space which took priority over us. The big thing was that the front entrance was closed, and not labeled with any kind of sign that we should go around to the back entrance. I heard one of the employees talking about how slow it was, and I suspect that this was why.

Rock climbing and video games KILLED me (of course, that's what they showcase...)

Everything is priced a little higher than I'd like. An hour of bowling cost $25 with shoe rentals (for two) during off-peak times, and most of the games are $1.50-2.00 per play. You also have to get one of their pre-paid cards, which is kind of a scam to get you to spend more money than you really want to spend. Many of their games are $1.60 and $1.80, so you end up with $1.20 left on your card that you can't use. You either have to lose it, or add more money to your card (in even dollars). If you came regularly, that probably wouldn't be an issue. I just like them to know that I know why their games are so irregularly priced, and I don't appreciate it.

For the young and young-at-heart, this place should be, and in some ways is, heaven on earth. We played (expensive) arcade games and blacklit mini-golf ($7 each). The mini-golf was especially fun. On a longer visit we certainly would have bowled and played some pool.

They charge for the bowling shoes which is a downside for the place. Also their seating near the lanes is small. Comfortable only for four people.

Fun. Clean. LOTS of options.

BUT, be ready to spend MAJOR money if/when your kids want to play the video games.

We have never been to Main Event before, and went because we were given gift cards. We drove an hour to the one in Austin and almost left because the place didn't look open.

It is a nice indoor entertainment place. You can find video games, bowling

In the end, we might return there after their construction has finished and check out the laser tag or play some air hockey if we're already in the area. It will probably be earlier in the afternoon on a weekday to avoid all the screaming kids, though.

Good place to spend couple of hours with friends and family. They have lots of lanes to play bowling. So wait time if any should be little.

Why only 3 stars? 2 out of the 3 employees we interacted with have zero idea how to treat customers. The machine that loads money onto cards malfunctioned, so I had to go for help. Neither the manager that I got to come over, or the girl who finished the job, ever once said "sorry about that" or, heaven forbid, "I put an extra $5 on your card because of the trouble". The girl literally turned off the machine and walked off without a single word. That's pathetic.

As it got later in in the afternoon on Friday (I've heard it's the same during the weekend), there are lots of screaming children. So even though they have a full bar, food, and bowling, it's not a great adult hang-out during those times.

You think your spending $19 for EVERYTHING (which includes bowling 《PLUS shoe rental... $5》, laser tag & golf).

The place is under construction right now, and I feel like they shouldn't be doing it on the interior on a Friday afternoon. They should probably contract as much as they can in off hours before they open.

THAT'S where they get you....

Later we did run into a guy at the mini-golf who was the exact opposite; personable, friendly, and helpful. If all the employees had been like him, this would be a 5-star review.

That being said, the service was great. Everyone was really polite and helpful. We were pleased with the nostalgic 90's music playing at the bowling ally. We only had drinks and onion rings, so I can't speak to the food much, but we had no complaints. Some of their other dishes looked appealing, and were surprisingly upscale for an entertainment venue.

So, it's fun, safe, clean and CAN BE economical SO LONG as your kids go in KNOWING the deal...
