I'm warning ALL MEXICANS that they will throw you out of this place.
Nice bartenders. Ambiance is very nice. Very inclusive place (bar, bowling, billiards, karaoke, etc...). Prices were not too bad. Happy hour prices were good; except the beers on tap are not all included in happy hour. But overall, its a good spot to chill.
The entire situation didn't feel very good, and we LOVE the Domain because it's a nice, safe place to eat and enjoy wholesome entertainment. I just tried to talk to him and say "Hey man, I understand you are trying to enforce a policy, but there really isn't a need to be so offensive and aggressive with us." We are just regular people associating and we aren't here to do anything illegal. It was as if he was antagonizing us when we were already leaving. He basically ruined our evening.
One annoying quirk is they change the menu a lot. I normally call beforehand to make sure what I want is still there; RIP chicken biscuit.
It's a pretty mediocre "entertainment restaurant" that are so popular now. Offers the standard array of games- bowling, ping pong, shuffleboard, arcade, ect. It's pricey, but that's the Domain in general. Food was good but nothing exceptional, service was fine. If you go for a night of drinks, games, dinner, the tab can rack up pretty fast, especially once the happy hour drink prices expire. It's not bad, but it doesn't really do anything special either. For the price, you'd expect a little more.
Service was slow. Server seemed uninterested. Got seated And waited probably 15 mins before anyone came to greet us and take our order. We ordered our appetizer, drinks, and entrees together since we had waited so long. We received our appetizer without the chicken we requested, and when I wanted to ask for the chicken, we had already ate most of the dish anyway... why bother at that point. Our entrees were good, but then again waited what felt like forever to get our bill. Server dropped off the receipt and said “here you go, see you later.” Just felt very impersonal, instead of welcoming.
At one point, my friend ordered a drink for his wife (she's 26 years old) and 15 minutes later the security guy came up and said the "night is over for us. Get out immediately" exactly at 10pm. I didn't understand what was happening, and I told the security guy that we were leaving, but that I didn't understand what was happening. He was extremely hostile and needlessly rude to us.
I've been going here awhile: the service is great, the food is normally prompt and as requested, atmosphere is lively and offers outdoorsy seating, and overall great marks all around.
I've been a frequent customer of Punch Bowl, and I have to say that it was a horrible, terrible experience. I can't help but feel that there was a racial dimension because my friends are Mexican... I've actually heard rumors that this place is very racist, and I think I agree now. My friend is very educated and respectful, and I think he was disturbed by how he was treated.
We had a really horrific experience at Punch Bowl Social. My wife and I went with another couple, and my friend's wife didn't have her ID on her. So we were told we'd have to leave at 10pm which was fine. We started talking and didn't pay attention to the time.
The entire situation felt very wrong, and we tried to talk to the security person again even after we were outside because the entire experience just made us feel violated.
