I've been eating at Taiwan Restaurant since 1990. The lunch prices are great and the food is consistent and good. The range sweet and sour sauce that they serve on the table is the best ever and the sweet and sour sauce by which I measure everybody else's sweet and sour. The exact same thing can be said for their hot and sour soup it's the best. I've taken many people here over the years and it's funny when I come in sometimes I see people that I've introduced to this restaurant many years before still coming. I love this place.

The food was below average (very salty or odd bitter flavor, or a shrimp dish with only 6 pieces of shrimp) and the service was worse. Ordered for pickup, and they were not at all good about giving an itemized receipt. The lady whined saying how I was making her give a receipt on a busy day. She was trying to make me feel bad and not go through with it. Had to wait about 10 minutes for them to get it. Found out in the receipt they charged for the boxes which they put carry out items in!
I had the Seasame Chicken and about a few pieces in there it was...something black.
We told the manager she said that they can cook a fresh plate, but I left without paying as we finally agreed.
Drove an hour from san marcos because, when i lived in austin 3 years ago, this was really good asian food for the price. They said my order would be ready in 15 minutes. It was 45 minutes. I asked for extra sauce for sweet and sour chicken and hot mustard, i was told they were out of hot mustard. Got my order, my 10 dollar entree (wow their prices went up) was ok at absolute best. The sweet and sour chicken my stepdad got had no sauce on it, and they had only included 3 tiny sauces. Two of the sauces were exploded on the bottom of the bag. The pot stickers were microwaved. The entire place has gone down the tubes. We called them and they refused to refund the ONE entree that had no sauce. I didnt request a full refund. I got no refund for the food they messed up, and that it was our fault for not making sure they did their jobs correctly. You lost a long time customer and im reversing my good reviews on yelp and other sites.
I ordered food for my job (total of 25 ppl) The person that took my order was awesome! Then I talked with the manager and she verified my order to make sure everything was correct. When I received the order, everything was separated perfectly and all food was labeled. Everyone enjoyed it , have no complaints. Thank you guys

Tl;dr used to be good with great service, now bad with horrible service. Lin the manager was extremely rude and doesnt care about her repeat customers.
Not even and hour later I was puking my brains out.
