Let me start by saying that the food here is pretty good. The staff is friendly and your order will come out fast and hot. However, this place is pricey. Which honestly...for good food and a fair portion I don't mind paying extra. But this place is so stingy when it comes to the amount of meat they give you. The brown stewed chicken for examples comes out with 4 extremely small pieces (not legs or thighs or breast) of chicken. Then they fill up the plate with a whole bunch of rice to make up for it. Sure the rice is good and I enjoy eating it but the rice is supposed to be a side, not the main course to get full on. For this reason I only come here on rare occasion...when I'm not extremely hungry and I have money to splurge.

I was in Austin for a few days from New York City. Stayed in the downtown area and decided to check Google Maps for some good food in the area. This spot caught my eye as I had a taste for some real home cooked food and the ratings were pretty high. Although you can't always rely on reviews, the pictures also looked amazing. I decided to walk here from my hotel which was a 25min walk there and 25min back. It was hot as (H-E double hockey sticks) but when I tell you the food was slamming I would do that walk 10 times over and over again. The spices used taste like them came straight off the boat from Jamaica!! Jerk chicken off the chain and the oxtails. I will forever revisit the spot anytime I'm in Austin, and not to mention the guy working the truck was as cool as he wanted to be lol. No lie this place deserves 10 stars. RECOMMEND RECOMMEND RECOMMEND!!!!

I have way too many good things to say about this place. Everything here is delicious! If you have been here you will completely agree with this. If you have not been here, you will soon completely agree with this!

Tony is a Jamaican providing some of the most authentic Jamaican food I have had outside of Jamaica. This place is a must stop experience if you visit Austin. The OX tails will turn you into an addict! You have been warned. The atmosphere is jovial and it's all outdoors with a canopy/tent seating. Stop by meet Tony & his staff and dinner and a Ting! or Ginger Beer all directly from Jamaica.

Although the chicken was pretty tasty, I felt like the sauce sort of overpowered the chicken. I was looking for more of a dry rub than a sauce on top. However, I LOVED the rice and was left wanting more. I wasn’t particularly fond of the cabbage, so probably would order more rice instead of that next time.
