This is the Rolls Royce of local storage. Friendly management, beautiful facilities, good security, clean and well maintained, accessible and modern. You can eat off the floors. It's not the least expensive, but for climate controlled storage that's a great value and location, can't be beat.
I have been using South Lamar Self Storage for a little over a year now and I have had no problems. The staff are welcoming, helpful and polite. The facility is clean, secure, and well kept. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good, moderately priced storage space.
The bottom line: If you need a storage area and you want it to be looked after like it was as precious to the staff as it is to you, South Lamar Storage and Wine Cellar is the place and staff you should choose to entrust your belongings.
We've had issues at other storage spots, such as U-haul (don't use them!), but South Austin Storage was fantastic. Helpful, friendly staff and a clean, secure spot.
I've had a storage room off and on for 10 years. I have never found a storage room company or staff that have been more accommodating and friendly than South Lamar Storage and Wine Cellar. I've had stolen merchandise and found one owner perusing my belongings in other "secured" storage facilities.I have never felt that my storage room would ever be compromised with Shannon and the crew at SLS. Though I've never met her, I consider Shannon to be some sort of long lost relative and have even joked with her about being an estranged member of my family.
