Through my terrific experience with First Stop Auto I learned there remain fair and honest car sales people still around! They should be called First RATE Auto Sales because that was my entire experience. Kudos to the owner for setting the bar high!

The guys we worked with there were relaxed and professional they were down to earth. If you want honest car salesman that won't try to screw you over I strongly recommend going to them.
At first I was surprised to find out this was a dealership and not an individual person since I came responding to an ad from Craigslist that listed the vehicle I was interested in as sold By Owner. Any anxiety this caused though was soon put to rest as I was happy to be able to test drive several cars at once that were of interest to me. All the guys there are very polite and helpful and easy to communicate with. They anticipate your needs and interests well and do their best to help you which is especially appreciated in the sometimes stressful time of buying a car. The office is clean and cool and comfortable. It is a kind of far drive from central Austin, but unlike other dealerships I ended up visiting -- it is a pretty lovely tree lined drive- mostly on 2222 to get there. They let me drive the vehicle I ended up buying all the way to South Austin to check it out with my mechanic. This gave me extra confidence in my choice and a peace of mind even though I think it was totally unnecessary because they really seem to know their cars and have spent time and care with them before putting them out there for sale. I enthusiastically recommend!
