From the start Mike Pattison was warm and patient with my friend, who is a little patience-trying. He was unhurried and gave honest advice, even to the point of recommending to not have the work done, that it would be a waste of money on such an old car! But my friend wanted it done and he gave a reasonable estimate (thousands less than shops that do full body painting only). My friend and I were in hysterics seeing the finished work, wondering whether it was even the same car as it was such a great job. He got the work done quickly and at the estimated price. We're glad to have found this place. He's got a great sense of humor and understanding of his craft and the economics of what repairs make sense for a car.

I was so excited to find a repair shop that had such great reviews. I started dealing with Mike, who seemed to be very knowledgeable and helpful. I was also dealing with Progressive insurance and when I took my car in to be fixed this morning he seemed to be having a bad day that turned into raising his voice at me and demanding unreasonable expectations from me. He had asked me to get an estimate for the cost of a new bumper form Volkswagen, which I did despite the fact I found it odd since that should be part of his job since he is doing repairs. Then the insurance instructed me to leave the vehicle there where they would come to inspect the damage and confirm the estimate Two Day had written. Mike did not agree and decided to yell at me in front of other customers and tell me that he wasn’t getting paid enough and only making $60 off the job. It was incredibly unprofessional and uncalled for. I never asked him to low ball the estimate and if he doesn’t know how to calculate his business or if he doesn’t like his job he should retire. I’ve never been more embarrassed or spoken to like that by a grown “professional” man. Very disappointed and took my business elsewhere.
As a woman, I'm always afraid of going into body shops and being taken advantage of. Before I went to Two Day, I had been to several other places and received terrible customer service and quotes that were not only out of my price range, but exceeded the work that I needed done. When I stepped into Two Day I immediately felt taken care of. They are creative people who know their craft and can fix ANYTHING without it being a hassle on you. They reinserted my styrofoam crash bar and popped in some self tapping screws to secure my bumper better. The men at Two Day know how to HELP. Their committed service took away all the fear I was feeling about a simple bumper hiccup that others were quoting at $1,000. Two Day is the homegrown type of Austin business that is faithful to your best interest while also delivering quality work. I would go back in a heartbeat.
My '99 sedan needed a complete exchange of its suspension components after running a curb in San Antonio. Where other auto shops in the area turned me down and suggested I purchase a new car (ludicrous), Mike actually took the time to listen to me and take on this challenge with grace and confidence. The quote was fair and breakdown of price brought good clarity to the changes being made. I'm extremely appreciative this. After having a conversation with Mike, I felt completely confident that the team at Two Day Auto were able to take care of my 18 year old vehicle (which I was not bent on giving up yet!). Needless to say, after 2 days I was back on the road.
