I've been seeing Dr. Zhang since the year 1997 on an as needed basis. About the year 2005 I decided to see him regularly once a month as part of my personal anti-aging program. Now that 8 years of regular treatments have elapsed, I believe the results have been very positive in that my overall health, well being, energy, and outlook on life have consistently improved.
My personal acupuncturist is Dr. Don X. Zhang. He has a warm caring bedside manner with an extremely gentle touch that helps me cope with my fear of needles. Dr. Zhang has never rushed through my visits and allows plenty of time to hear my issues.
They have an onsite herbal pharmacy where custom formulations are prepared in both capsule and loose form. The herbs prescribed for me in loose tea form have always had a pleasant taste.
I've been to China Health Center for acupuncture and herbs many times since 1997. Their friendly and courteous staff never makes me wait. The reception area and treatment rooms are all extremely clean and comfortable. In fact, their overall office environment appears more sanitized than many western trained physicians' offices I've visited. The fees are fair.
Really, words can't describe how WONDERFUL the anti-aging treatment is that Li does. I get professional facials regularly but this is nothing like a facial. I went to CHC yesterday because I had caught a virus. Li decided to treat my skin (she said it is the main organ that defends my health), and expertly combined acupuncture with an all over (head, face, back, ankles, legs, feet, etc.) massage with herbal serum treatment for circulation. When I went in yesterday I had a cough, fever, headache, inflamed sinuses and painfully sore throat; today I have none of those!! I hadn't had a treatment with Li before yesterday, but I credit Dr. Zhang with my ongoing good health for many years. I am so grateful for CHC and the Zhang family, their extraordinary energetic gifts and caring expertise for healing. They are a stellar treasure in Austin!
