I have had the worst experience with the office staff and billing. I would not recommend going to this office for any kind of procedure. Although, Dr. Cline is a great Dr. you deal more with his unpleasant staff then you do him. I recently had issues with the way the office was billing my insurance company. I had spoken to Michelle Martinez the office manager who also takes care of the billing. While on the phone with her I can not tell you how many times she would interrupt me while I was trying to get answers to my questions regarding my bill. I had asked her three times to extended the same courtesy I was giving her and wait till I was don't talking before trying to respond. I could never get more the 3 or 4 words out of my mouth before I was being told what I was saying was wrong. After being interrupted over and over I asked if I could talk to someone who would talk the time to listen to my questions before trying to answer them. She told that I would have to talk to her. That would be fine if she had any kind of communication skill at all. I really feel that if someone is in a position that deals with the public then they should posses or obtain the skills needed to communicate and listen before interrupting over and over. I will not be returning to this office in fear of further billing issues and the unwillingness of the staff to try to resolve and issues. The more I think about it, the more I think she doesn't want to hear what I have to say because she is making mistakes and that would mean she would have to own up to them once the mistakes have been pointed out to her. PEASE DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS OFFICE. Lucky here in Austin we have options of other amazing Drs. This one employee with horrible communication skills should not be in her position. If you do take an appointment at this office, cross your fingers you billing is correct and that you don't have to deal with Michelle Martinez.
I cannot recommend Dr. Cline enough! I have had multiple surgeries with him and couldn't be happier with the results. This is obviously not the most comfortable area of the body to discuss, never mind exam, but he makes you feel as at ease a possible. He takes his time explaining all available options and also takes time to listen! (Something a few other surgeons could take notes on.) I have been a patient for 6 years and currently live out of state, but it is worth the drive when you find a surgeon you can trust. I highly recommend Dr. Cline and his sweet and understanding staff.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! I actually had a lot of time to look for and find the hospital and doctor I wanted ahead of my surgery. After exhaustive searches I chose Dr. Kline as the surgeon to perform my colectomy, and Seton @38th the hospital where I wanted to have the surgery. No surprises, went as advertised. Thanks Doc!!!
