Let me start by saying, I don't like doctors. I just won't go unless I am very, very sick. My insurance forced me into finding one at the last minute. I was able to book a same day appointment (which I intially found concerning) and was pleasantly surprised. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Dr. Balderos' manner is outgoing, friendly, a little sarcastic (which I happen to like), and compasionate. I think he has good intution into his patients, meeting their needs on their terms. I look forward to continuing with this doctor as my PCP.
I had a long relationship with my previous Dr. John K. Frederick who passed too soon at 56. He was a great Dr. and a good friend. I was forced to find a new family Dr. by BCBSTX and Dagoberto Balderas was recommended to me. He has since opened his own clinic on Monterey Oaks and 290 and is busy and growing his own practice. I have had to wait when I didn't make an appointment but that is expected when you see someone who is in demand like Dr. Balderas is, but I know he will short his lunch or stay late to see all of his patients and I respect that, probably comes from his service in the Armed Forces, which I respect all that much more. This guy will shoot you straight, spend as much time with you as you need (not in a rush all the time) and take the time to become a trusting friend and Dr. and take interest in your life and also to take the time and effort to remember you, so you don't feel like you are starting all over every appointment. All in all I would recommend Dr. Balderas to anyone who wants to form a long lasting relationship with a family Dr. This guy has impressed me from every aspect of his practice and I hope you give him a shot to impress you as much he has me.

Dr. Balderas and his staff are superb! Kind and efficient. He really knows how to do his job, there's no one better I'd recommend in the austin area!
Dr. Balderas Is a very caring doctor, the times I have been seen I felt like I was more than just another patient. He takes his time and speaks to you, not just in and out like most doctors. The office stuff is very helpful as well, always happy to help and work with your schedule and prescriptions as well.
Administration- Poor service, Unorganized and unprofessional. But Dr.Balderas attitude is very polite.
