on waiting list over a year So exited today! Finally a specialist who will know what's wrong, help me. No. After filling out paperwork, the pad, telling the nurse every question I just filled out redundantly, I finally saw him, had to repeat it all again. Dr. Peña came in, And I agreed with him, But he left fast, with no scecule like he wouldn't be working with me, a course of action I already had, They needed test from a special ist to continue, without any new course to take...I came a long way to not only walk away with no answers. As for not being knowledge able about my case, we wasted each others time, the nurse and dr. Why try to have everything Seton, when you are so redundant.
edit got a pcp to order me everything i needed a shower chair, pillows, meds. theripy, referrals, so forget this doc. next!
I have tried repeatedly to get an appointment at this place for over a year. I started off with two separate referrals to Pena (bc the first ran out before I could get an appointment). I would get voicemail and occasionally a person who would say they would call me back. As time progressed I thought I would aim for the person whom I knew was fantastic bc he worked on my husband (Dr. Stokes). I did get a call from his nurse who said she would show him my xrays and call back but never did. So fast forward to today and I have been to the ER twice for my back in the last 4 weeks. Now I am giving up on this office where I know there is an outstanding clinician but terrible office staff or extreme disorganization. How did my husband get in you ask? He had to have his doctor (pain specialist) call and get him in.
The doctors there are extremely knowledgeable, however getting a response from the office is very difficult. I filled out an online patient form to get an appointment and never heard from the office. After two weeks, I called to set up an appointment. Both doctors were great and they referred me for an MRI. My insurance required additional information from the office and it took two weeks for that to happen. After the MRI results were faxed to the office, I never heard back from them with the results. I called and got the results myself and had them sent to a different doctor who got me in the office within two days. I called and left a message for their office and STILL haven't heard back. Having great doctors doesn't help when the office staff can't seem to get patients on their schedule.
Unbelievable! The nurse or even worse Dr. Pena NEVER checked what kind of medicine I'm currently taking. They treated me as a complainer or like it's not a big deal. Not even checked the x-ray that was previously taken from another doctor. Never will I ever return to that place again. Waste of your time and money. Prescribed me a medicine that is BAD for my heart. Do your homework and research your rx before take it. Shuddering...
So far so good, Pamela was really helpful and informative about my insurance and I can tell that they're going to guide me through this experience wonderfully. I will get surgery in the New Year and I've heard great things about Dr. Geck. His office was surprisingly pleasant also. For a spine Dr.'s office at least!
A star for the Black Lady front desk receptionist. Only one that really cared. Without you I'd still be crying.-
