I've seen Dr. Ikbal every year for at least the last five years. She's very nice, polite, never rushes through my questions. This year I saw a midwife for my exam due to timing, who as also very nice and patient.
Someone, somewhere, along the way, decided to record that I am black/African-American and not Hispanic/Latina, and this has been on my medical records for the years that I have been going here. What is the actual point of filling out 1717 pages of demographic forms, if you are going to take one look at me and make an assumption? I've called and asked that my records be retroactively changed, but have they been? I'll give you one guess. (The answer is no.) If you're the kind of person who is offended on behalf of others assuming gender, imagine how it feels when someone assumes your race/ethnicity AFTER you've filled out the relevant form. These things have impact on your predisposition to certain diseases. I may never come here again, unless this is satisfactorily (and retroactively) resolved.
I’ve been a patient at this practice for 4 years now and have received nothing but exceptional care. Dr. Oliver is my primary OBGyn and I love and appreciate her expertise and phenomenal bedside manner. I’ve seen several other doctors over the course of two pregnancies and have found them all to be just as friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend the practice!
If I could give this office 0 stars, I would. Having been with them for about 6 months, it is obvious that they do not really care about their patients. I'm constantly on hold waiting to schedule an appointment, or waiting to speak to a nurse. (It's impossible to reach your doctor or get a response from them directly). I always feel like I'm just being herded out as quickly as possible just so they could see another patient. Save yourself the trouble and pick a doctor that makes you feel like a valuable human.
I have been a patient of Dr. Oliver for almost 10 years and I will continue to see her until impossible. She has always been very supportive but kept it real with me! I love that! She is also the most personal provider I have ever met and I have worked in the medical field for 3 years. She monitored my only pregnancy and I only saw a PA or NP twice in those 9 months. Dr. Ikbal delivered my daughter and she was also fantastic. She was very supportive and sweet through the very quick event.
