The band of my watch broke the morning of my wedding so I brought it to Joe Koen & Son's. Brad had it fixed in a few minutes and I left with a smile on my face. Great honest people!
I have been going Koen and Son for almost five years, and their service and selection is impossible to beat. The first time I went it, they helped diagnose an issue with my engagement ring, cleaned it, and examined it for any other issues free of charge. I have been going back over and over again since then. They are informed, fairly priced, and an Austin institution. I won't use any other jewelry store for my repair needs, or my suggested presents list. Give them a try - you'll be blown away by the selection and prices - there is something for everyone.
Took a week to give me a quote for sizing a silver ring up. Once I received the quote, they justified it by saying the additional metal alone would cost $30.00. I calculated the cost of the metal myself: less than a dollar.
For repairs and sizing, save your money and time. Go elsewhere.
I ended up taking my ring elsewhere and got the work done for 20% the quote I received here and am extremely happy with the work I received. In addition, Koen and Son actually got my ring size wrong (it only ended up needing to go up one size, not three as I was told by Koen and Son).

Excellent customer service! Brad Koen was helpful, knowledgeable, and my ring repair was done 2 days earlier than quoted. The price was more than fair, $170 cheaper than the store across the street quoted me in fact. I will definitely return for my repairs, cleanings, and any future purchases I need!!!
