Nice place for a quick hike. Great views and not too strenuous. We were able to do it with a 17 month old.
Scenic views from here in all 360 degrees. There are about 50-75 stairs which are not disabled friendly. Once you are on the top, you really feel worth the effort. Usually crowded place, with people clicking pics all over the place. Beautiful view of the downtown on one side. River flowing on the other side, lined with residence / hotels with breathtaking swimming pools. You feel the wind blowing on your face on a pleasant day. Its quite a romantic place to be with your family / loved ones. Visiting this place at all times of the day is good idea, except when it's very hot. Parking is available for just 10-15 cars, rest have to park it on the street far away from the stairs to the park. Must visit park just for the views.
This park has a wonderful view of Austin, ranging from downtown to the original dam, after a nice walk up some stairs. Plenty of old stone picnic tables. In October weather it's hard to beat.
Very nice experience and must go place for Austin. You can see all city view from this place and great picture spot.
The place was awesome. it was so calm there and you can just look down the river for hours. it was really peaceful and i loved it a lot. If i go to Austin again, i will go there again.
