A great place for festivals. ACL has the layout n transportation to and from, down to a science. Well coordinated for all to enjoy. Be ready for a long, hilly-walk throughout the park. Wear comfy shoes and be ready for dust. Some people wear bandanas over their mouth n nose. It's preference, not necessary. Bring your patience, blanket n chairs as you enjoy the fun!
I haven't been to Zilker in a while. We went and it was just like I remember. I love that the old fire truck was still there. There is a soft surface play area that we played in for a long time. Great park!
This is one of the best of Austin's amazing network of parks. Gotta visit whether you are a tourist or a local. You can access the trail around the lake easily, have a picnic, or play sports in the large open grass area. The views of downtown are great!
Great place for outdoor activities. Trails for walking or bicycling. Water to swim or boat in. Kayak and paddle boat rentals on the lake as well as places to put in your own. A must if you're in the mood for outdoor activities..
The park was great. However, we came across a lady who was rude and we felt discriminated. First, from this particular ladies words, then from the looks that we got. Did not know that ignorance is still very rampant these days...especially Austin. I guess in some parts of the area. But then again...I wonder what lies beneath a person's heart.
