I have worked behind the front desk at our Belterra location since May. It is the BEST place to work! First of all, Bryan, the owner, is wonderful - he's always thinking of ways to increase space and the utility of furniture. The teachers adore him, because all they have to do is ask for something to improve their rooms, and he does it. He's understanding and such fun to work for. Everyone else, from our amazing teachers to our behind the desk workers, are so friendly and helpful. And the teachers...they are so extremely gifted and are all wonderful teachers. They work with each student to determine what is needed, then they use that method, tweaking it when needed. I have 3 grandchildren who take lessons here - piano and violin. I wouldn't want them to take anywhere else!
The locations are convenient, the staff is friendly, and the instructors are knowledgeable!
My friend Jessica first told me about Lone Star School of Music. I visited the Southwest Lone Star School of Music location one afternoon and met the Owner and Manager when I first entered. They gave me a tour and told me about the private and group lessons they offered as well as all the upcoming summer events. The layout was very nice and kid friendly. I was very impressed by the great staff members. It was apparent how much they cared about the students progression as well as how much fun they were having. I was really impressed by the level of talent I saw at their Spring recital a couple weeks later. I can't wait for my niece to enroll at the Westlake location!
They really make things about the customers and want to make sure that everyone enjoys what they are learning. I have also recently started taking some kids that I nanny to the WeeRock! Class, and they love it! I appreciate Lone Star!
Wow what a find! I was going to Whole Foods and ran across Lone Star. I went up to see what kind of instruments and lessons they offered and had now idea that there was so much to choose from. After talking to Shannon (who is so nice) I signed my son up for DJ lessons of all things. I told my girlfriend about lone star and found out her daughter takes lessons at the Dripping Springs location. On their window the sign says Music Summer Camps. When I asked about the camps she said they are sold out but they had one spot left at a West Lake school. How many locations do they have?!?!? Anyway I would recommend stopping by and checking out this cool school. Updated review will be written after lessons progress.
Lone Star School of Music is my favorite place in Austin for music lessons.
I've been in and out of music schools since for a while now, so I know how to spot a good one from a bad one. When I first stepped into Lone Star, I knew that it was going to be one of the good ones. Scheduling lessons is easy, finding the right teacher is easier, and the whole process is simply the easiest around when it comes to music lessons. The lessons are all extremely tailored to the individual and you can feel the love for music when you walk into this place. Check it out! You won't be disappointed.
I have always wanted to learn a couple of different instruments, and they were so flexible with letting me switch instructors and instruments until I found something that I was most excited about.
